IRGP News No. 8

The stakes will be high for the “The first InsideRACING Grand Prix Presented Motolite Motorcycle Batteries”, a special annual GP-style race event sanctioned by NAMSSA for underbone motorcycle road racing that will take place on November 24-25 at the Carmona Circuit in Cavite.

A purse of more P100,000 will be on the line for riders and teams as they battle in four race classes of the inaugural IRGP. This makes IRGP one of the highest paying, of not the highest, one-day race in local underbone racing.

The first InsideRACING Grand Prix Presented Motolite Motorcycle Batteries will boast a quality field of top local riders competing in four classes – The Castrol Juniors Trophy, Shell Advance Masters Trophy, Castrol 115 Grand Prix and Shell Advance 130 Grand Prix.

Included in the P104,000 purse is P10,000 for each of the four class winners with P5,000 and P3,000 going to the second and third place finishers. Purse money will paid down to 8th place in all classes.

The prestigious annual event which will feature a variety of different motorcycle brands including PMR, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Motorstar, Tiger and Sinski will test the reliability of both the riders and machines for more than twenty laps around the demanding Carmona Circuit Philippines.

More manufacturers, teams and riders are expected to join the entries in October.
