May 10 : 37th NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY CONVENTION on May 20-22

The Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI), a non-profit,
technical and professional organization has been spearheading for the
last 45 years the nationwide observance of the different aspect of
safety to sustain interest and awareness of its importance in all levels
and sectors of our society. The Road Safety Division of SOPI is now in
the process of preparing its activities for the observance of the Road
Safety month in May and one of the major highlights of this undertaking
is the holding of the 37th NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY CONVENTION on May 20-22,
2007
at the Bohol Tropics Resort, Tagbilaran, Bohol with the theme:
KALIGTASAN SA DAAN PANANAGUTAN NG BAWAT MAMAMAYAN.

The Convention aims to bring together experts on Road Safety to discuss
with and impart to the participants current international and local road
and traffic safety issues, problems, solutions and technological
advances in this particular field. This interaction will hopefully
generate workable ideas which can be translated into action plans by
both the government and the private sector participants to further
propel our country's continuing economic progress.
