Apr 15 : 2007 Suzuki Endurance Run Kicks Off - 8 Suzuki Motorcycle Models To Be Tested Nationwide

Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) will kick off its fourth (4th) Suzuki nationwide Endurance Run on April 28 at the CCP Grounds, Manila.
 

Twenty rider contingents from various motorcycle riding clubs in Luzon shall test eight (8) Suzuki 4-stroke motorcycle models namely—Raider R150 (150 cc), Raider J (110cc), Shogun Pro (125cc), Shogun R (125), Step 125 (cc), Smash Revo (110 cc), Mola 125 (cc) and Mola 150 (cc), non-stop for forty days. The run will more than 7,000 kilometers from Luzon, Visayas to Mindanao.

The Suzuki Nationwide Endurance Run is an annual nationwide two-wheel tour forwarding motorcycling as an alternative lifestyle, while demonstrating the durability, overall excellent performance and fuel efficiency of Suzuki motorcycles. This year’s run, which coincides with the World Safety Month Celebration, advocates safety riding through road courtesy.

“Through the Suzuki Nationwide Endurance Run, Suzuki aims to dispel the negative notion that motorcycle riding is unsafe and that motorcycle riders have lesser traffic rights. It is about time that motorcycle riders be accorded the same respect that are given four-wheeled drivers on the streets,” said Mr. Benedict Martin Arreola, Senior Marketing Manager for Motorcycle, Suzuki Philippines Inc.

Arreola added, “Suzuki has the widest range of motorcycle models, from backbone or business models to scooters and sporty underbone models. Our slogan “Your Lifestyle Your Ride” further demonstrates that motorcycle riding have evolved from simply being the preferred ride of messengers and tricycle drivers to a more versatile and efficient transportation solution.”

Also coinciding with the run is the launch of the 1st Suzuki Nationwide Motor Show, a nationwide competition of Suzuki modified units. The competition shall start in Cebu on May 13-20, 2007, in time for the Visayas leg of the Endurance Run. The motor show shall then move to Davao, from June 3-10, also in time for the Mindanao leg of the Endurance Run. The motor show and display shall then move to key areas in Luzon from July 1 until September 16, 2007. Grand Finals is set on October 2007.
