July 25 : Selection Process for the 2006 Philippine TEAM YAMAHA for the ASEAN CUP in Indonesia

Norkis- amaha has announced that the qualifying races for the 10-rider Philippine team that will be sent to Indonesia in December will be the 2006 NRA Motorcycle Grand Prix UGP Class that will start on July 30 at the Batangas Racing Circuit

Yamaha sent 5 riders last in last year’s ASEAN CUP held in Thailand where the Philippine team finished 4th over-all.
The top ten (10) riders riding a Yamaha motorcycle based on Yamaha’s point system after four races will qualify:
Rules are as follows:

1) Ten(10) members of the Team Yamaha 2006, who will represent the Philippines for this year Yamaha ASEAN Cup will be selected from the 1st four(04) UGP 125 class of NRA’s organized event.
2) Assigned points to each Yamaha top ten(10) finishers on a per leg basis:
1st Place - 10 points
2nd Place - 09 points
3rd Place - 08 points
4th Place - 07 points
5th Place - 06 points
6th Place - 05 points
7th Place - 04 Points
8th Place - 03 Points
9th Place - 02 Points
10th Place – 01 Points
3) How to select ten(10) Yamaha 2006 Team members:

Total accumulated points from Leg 1 to Leg 4 of the regular UGP 125 class.
4) Only riders with Yamaha bike are entitled to join this selection
process.
