Sept 20: Motegi MotoGP - Victory for Ducati, Rossi and Melandri crash



Marlboro Ducati's Loris Capirossi scored an amazing victory at the Japanese GP at Motegi japan last Sunday. The victory was the 4th for the little Italian in the premiere class and second for Ducati. Second was Repsol-Honda's Max Biaggi and third was home-boy Makoto Tamada.
 

Yamaha 's Valentino Rossi crashed with Honda's Marco Melandri while battling for third. Rossi's DNF meant that Biaggi gained 20 ponits in the championship but Rossi still will most likely claim the crown next week at Sepang.

Gibernau and Barros also failed to finish the race.

Meanwhile, Japanese Hiroshi Aoyama won the 250GP ahed of teammate Pedrosa with Casey Stoner third. Aoyama practically led from the start while Pedrosa was locked in a teriific battle with De Angelis for second. Sadly, De angelis was taken out by Jorge Lorenzo on teh final corner of the race.

The 125 GP was red-flagged due to an accident involving Thomas Luthi and Sergio Gadea. KTM's Mika Kallio was leading a lap before and was proclaime dteh winner. Luthi was still credited with 2nd and Hector Faunel third. The other KTM's of Talmacsi and Simon crashed out ealrier in the race.
