Sept 15: From the NRA : Scooter classes cancelled and confirmed MGP schedule

The following race classes will be discontinued from the 2005 MOTORCYCLE GRAND PRIX line up.
MAXI SCOOTERS
50 OPEN
50 DIO
50 JOG
The NRA was quoted to say that “We have been watching the drop in participation of scooter races and decided to commit our efforts into the development of Underbone and big bike races.”

This by no means affects the Scooter Class in the ENDURANCE RACES. The scooter class in the Endurance races next year will continue, but there will be some restructuring of the race rules to cater to 4 stroke scooters. In the meantime we invite scooter riders to move into the underbone races where there is manufacturer support and affordability in parts, races and racers.
