July 25 : Enchanted Kingdom gears up for speedweek

Brace yourself for a different kind of ride as three national races will be held at Enchanted Kingdom this August 2-3 and 9-10; the 2008 San Mig Coffee National Underbone Series, 2008 Shell Super Karting Series, 2008 National Slalom Series.
 

Now on its 4th year, the 2008 San Mig Coffee National Underbone Series will feature former champs Jaime Barcial and the current reigning champ Johnlery Enriquez of Team Suzuki. Co-Sponsored by Petron, Denso and Pagcor Sports, it will feature races in the 110 sports production, 125 open and 150 open classes. Races in the 110 super stock, 125 sports production and 125 super stock classes will also be held.

The 2008 Shell Super Karting Series will have Matteo Guidicelli, Marlon Stockinger, John Castelar and many more. It will feature races in the formula, cadet, ROK and Mini ROK classes.

The 8th leg of the 2008 National Slalom Series will feature drivers maneuvering their cars along tracks set up in front of Enchanted Kingdom. Official runs will start at 1 pm on August 10, Sunday. Organized by Race Motorsports Club, this event will surely bring slalom racing into mainstream public attention.

What’s more, motorists will enjoy the park for the whole month of June at an affordable entrance price of P150 for the Carousel Special or P350 for the Speedweek Special upon presentation of a valid driver's license.

Guaranteed to fill everyone’s need for speed, SPEEDWEEK will also feature road safety tutorials by Honda, the launch of a new car perfume from Prescripto, car and motorbike exhibits, product samplings and many more. Park goers will likewise be treated to the sounds of Up Dharma Down, Powerhouse band, and Amber Davis, and more surprises from Pepsi, Gatorade, Great Image and Solar Sports.
