July 24 : Manny Pacquiao joins Motorcycle Philippines Federation



On June 28, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Manny “the Pacman” Pacquiao defeated David Díaz via ninth-round knockout to become the WBC lightweight champion. With the victory, Pacquiao became the only Asian boxer to win four major titles in four weight classes and also became the first Filipino fighter to ever win a world title at lightweight
 

Just after a week after winning his famous match with David Diaz , the Pacman met with Motorcycle Philippines Federation (MCPF) Director for operations Jojo Medina and Mcpf Coordinator for Mindanao Bong Aquia to join the country’s biggest motorcycle association. Pacquiao is a member of the Barracuda riders club of General Santos City in Mindanao and owns a hefty collection of Bikes. He promised the directors that he will be a full time rider upon his retirement a couple of years from now and spend more time with mcpf and promote motorcycle tourism by touring the country with different motorcycle clubs and promote safety in motorcycling.

During that meeting, famous actor Efren Reyes Jr and Philippine cinema “bad guy” /stuntman, Chris Aguilar including most of Pacquiao’s bodyguards and staff who are also riders took the chance to join MCPF.
